Overview

The position supports medication management, clerical and computer tasks, and resident care in a skilled nursing environment. This role requires collaboration with the Director and LVN Supervisor of AL, adherence to regulations, and a focus on resident well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Director and LVN Supervisor of AL in medication management
  • Provide clerical and computer support, including reordering medications and supplies in compliance with DSS regulations
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the Matrix Electronic Medical Records system and support staff training related to medication ordering and administration
  • Respond to emergency calls, assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and follow medication administration procedures
  • Assist with meal service, monitor food intake, and ensure proper resident transfers
  • Encourage resident participation in activities, report changes in resident conditions, and assist with the admission/re-admission process
  • Maintain confidentiality, follow safety protocols, and help train new staff in the med assistant role
Qualifications
  • Able to pass pre-employment physical/TB test
  • Obtain fingerprint clearance as required by licensure
  • Food Handlers' certification
  • First Aid certification
