Assembler, Manufacturing ​/ Production

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembler in Endicott, NY for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports the assembly of electronic and mechanical components used in advanced technologies. You will work in a hands-on production environment using tools and following detailed instructions, with training provided to help you succeed.

Required Skills

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school education
• Ability to use manual and power hand tools
• Ability to follow work instructions and log tasks on a computer
• Strong communication skills
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to pass a Visual Acuity Standard Test (VAST), including color vision
• Willingness to learn and be trained

• What You’ll Do

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, and modules
• Use hand and power tools to build, modify, test, repair, and rework assemblies
• Follow written instructions, diagrams, and process sheets
• Perform both repetitive and non-repetitive assembly tasks
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Track work progress and log tasks in production systems
• Support team production goals and continuous improvement efforts

• Preferred Skills

• Experience applying conformal coating
• Soldering experience with electrical components
• Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT)
• Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment

Pay

• 1st Shift: $19.50/hr
• 2nd Shift: $21.45/hr (includes shift differential)
• Weekend Shift: Up to $23.83/hr
