Process Technician
The process technician will oversee the shift schedule and assist in running extrusion lines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement production schedule for product specifications such as dimensions, colors, and profile
- Responsible for starting and shutting down production lines
- Changes stacks & die's
- Clean die's
- Pull and clean co-extruder screws
- Sets and updates all extruder and co-extruder settings
- Set McGuire settings
- Setup embossers
- Assure scheduled line maintenance is completed
- Adjust water bath settings
- Conducts advanced troubleshooting
- Changes and clean vents
- Perform changeover tasks according to production schedule
- Performs board quality control checks
- Perform color testing
- Conducts trials
- Line Operator and Lead Operator skill evaluations
- Directs/Trains Line Operators, Lead Operator
- Ensures good Housekeeping
- Communicates supply needs to Material handler
- Follows all policies and procedures
- Maximizes plant efficiencies
- All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of line Operator, Lead Operator and Process Technician tests
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
Compensation:
