** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.

+ Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that require attention.

+ Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information as required, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents according to site protocols.

+ Support site operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with employees, contractors, and/or visitors, and following post orders for restricted or controlled areas.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A New York State Security Guard License is required.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
