Electrical Maintenance Technician

Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our client in Endicott, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties, troubleshooting electrical systems, and ensuring equipment and facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant with all regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on building systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including wiring, circuits, panels, lighting, and electrical components.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems in accordance with local codes and safety standards.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
• Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to identify long-term solutions and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and work completed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC support, carpentry, and facility upkeep as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electrical work, maintenance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrician certification or journeyman license.
• Experience in commercial or industrial facilities.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems.

The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $24-45 per hour though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
