Industrial Door Engineer

Location: Enfield Town

The role

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing service, maintenance and repair of industrial doors and loading bay equipment on both new and existing contracts. You will also attend breakdowns and emergency repairs, ensuring a consistently high level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

* Maintain and service loading bay products as directed by the Service team

* Respond to customer call-outs for breakdowns and repairs

* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, testing and planned maintenance

* Complete all relevant documentation accurately and on time

* Provide feedback to service staff to support quotations and invoicing

* Make repair and replacement recommendations during PPM visits

* Liaise with sales teams to resolve issues and identify additional works

* Deliver basic product training to customer representatives when required

* Assist with national installation projects when needed

* Identify further works on site and confidently convert quotations into orders

About you

* Based in the South of England

* Hold a recognised qualification in electrical, mechanical, welding, hydraulic, or have equivalent practical experience

* Ideally experienced with industrial doors and loading bay equipment

* Strong customer service skills with confidence recommending additional works (training provided)

* Flexible to work away from home across the UK when required

* Willing to take part in a 24-hour standby rota (1 week in
5) and occasional out-of-hours work

Additional earnings

* Working away from home: £34.00 per evening

* Overtime paid at time and a half and double time (depending on hours/days worked)

* On-call payment: £240 per week

* Commission: 2.5%–5% for converting spare part quotations to orders
