Senior Quantity Surveyor
Salary: 80,000
Location: Enfield
Region: London
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major Transport for London (TfL) Design & Build project involving the construction of a new wheel lathe facility. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key commercial role on a high-profile rail infrastructure project being delivered under an NEC3 Option C Target Cost Contract
.
Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for the commercial management of civils and fit-out subcontract packages valued at approximately £6 million
, while contributing to the successful delivery of the wider £32 million programme
.
- Commercial management and administration of civils and fit-out subcontract packages
- Supporting the Commercial Lead with project cost reporting, forecasting, and financial controls
- Management, assessment, and negotiation of change control and compensation events under NEC3 Option C
- Preparation and review of subcontract valuations, payments, and variations
- Assisting with procurement activities, tender evaluations, and appointment of remaining work packages
- Cost management throughout the project lifecycle, including final account agreement
- Monitoring project performance against target cost and budget objectives
- Working collaboratively with project delivery, design, planning, and client teams to achieve commercial and operational objectives
- Supporting risk and opportunity management processes
- Ensuring contractual compliance and robust commercial governance
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within rail, infrastructure, civils, or major construction projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 contracts
, particularly Option C Target Cost - Experience managing compensation events and change control processes
- Background in Design & Build project environments
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong reporting and forecasting skills
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account settlement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
