Position Summary

The College is seeking part-time non-credit lecturers who are passionate about inspiring and educating the next generation of Cosmetology professionals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director or designee, the non-credit lecturer is accountable for the effective performance in these essential duties:

Key responsibilities include:
  • Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards.
  • Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes.
  • Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising.
  • Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Certified Connecticut License in the field you are applying to.
  • Related work experience in the field you are applying to.
  • Ability to present curriculum in a classroom or lab environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Additional qualifications may be requested, as relevant to the academic department.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching or group training experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the industry trends and workforce needs.
  • Two (2) or more years of practical experience in the field for which you are applying.
