Enfield Public Schools is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Kindergarten Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will support young learners’ academic, social, and emotional development and provide a joyful, developmentally appropriate introduction to school. This position emphasizes building foundational skills and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and early childhood best practices.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports students’ social, emotional, physical, and academic growth.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies, including play‑based and hands‑on learning.
• Support early literacy, numeracy, and social‑emotional skill development.
• Foster curiosity, communication, creativity, and collaboration.
• Assess and monitor student progress using formative assessment practices.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with families.
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, families, and the school community.
• Participate in professional learning to remain current with early childhood standards and instructional practices.

• Valid CTDOE certification in Elementary, PK–6 (305).
• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and kindergarten instructional practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration.

• Experience teaching kindergarten or early primary grades.
• Experience integrating technology in developmentally appropriate ways.
• Knowledge of best practices in early childhood instruction.
• Experience working in a diverse and inclusive school community.

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
