Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Director or designee, the non‑credit lecturer is accountable for the effective performance in these essential duties:
Key responsibilities include:- Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
- Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
- Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
- Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials
- Current Certified Connecticut License in the field you are applying to.
- Related work experience in the field you are applying to.
- Ability to present curriculum in a classroom or lab environment.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Teaching or group training experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the industry trends and workforce needs.
- Two or more years of practical experience in the field for which you are applying.
- Commensurate with specific course, location & demand.
