Academic Tutor
Enfield Public Schools is seeking dedicated and compassionate Academic Tutors to support students in achieving academic success. Tutors will provide instructional support in various subject areas, assist with homework and skill development, and help maintain a safe and productive learning environment through student supervision.

Key responsibilities include providing one-on-one and small group academic support in core subjects (e.g., Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies), assisting students with homework, test preparation, and study skills, monitoring and supervising students during tutoring sessions to ensure a safe and respectful environment, collaborating with teachers and staff to identify student needs and tailor support accordingly, maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance, encouraging student engagement, motivation, and confidence in learning, and upholding school policies and procedures during tutoring and supervision activities.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred, experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
Working conditions include flexible scheduling based on school needs, work may occur during school hours, after school, or during extended learning programs, may involve standing, walking, and light lifting, at-will position.
