Make an immediate impact in the lives of young learners by stepping into a contract position as a School Psychologist in an engaging K-2 setting near Enfield, CT. This opportunity spans mid-December through the first week of April, covering a valued team member's maternity leave. With a focus exclusively on evaluations, your expertise will help guide educational planning and student support without counseling duties.

What you'll bring:

  • State certification as a School Psychologist and all required licensure for school-based work.
  • Previous experience conducting psycho educational assessments, particularly in early childhood or elementary settings.
  • Familiarity with a range of evaluation tools and the ability to interpret and communicate results effectively.
  • Comfort working in-person, collaborating with staff, and engaging families as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases, documentation, and timelines.
  • Experience with in parochial or private school environments is a plus.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering and scoring comprehensive evaluations for K-2 students, plus occasional assessments at area parochial schools.
  • Participating in student support or eligibility meetings, presenting findings to multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to inform educational decisions.
  • Preparing clear, actionable reports to support effective educational planning.
  • Managing confidential student data in accordance with school policies and relevant laws.
  • Supporting a positive team atmosphere during an important transition period.
