Laboratory Technician
Location: North London
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Training + Career Development
A leading manufacturer of high-quality engineered products is looking to appoint a Laboratory Technician to join its growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on technical environment, has an eye for detail and wants to play a key role in product testing, technical documentation and quality assurance. Working alongside experienced engineers and product specialists, you ll be involved in ensuring products meet the highest performance standards before they reach the market.

The RoleAs Laboratory Technician, you ll support the design and technical departments through a variety of laboratory and technical activities, including:
- Conducting photometric, thermal and performance testing on new and existing products.
- Managing laboratory testing requests, product samples and testing schedules.
- Recording, analysing and presenting technical test data accurately.
- Creating and maintaining technical product specification sheets using Adobe In Design .
- Updating technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD
. - Ensuring all technical documentation is accurate, well-presented and up to date.
- Working closely with engineering, design and production teams to communicate technical findings.
- Supporting continuous improvement within the laboratory and testing environment.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience with in a laboratory, technical, engineering or testing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Experience producing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign (essential).
- Experience using AutoCAD (essential).
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- £30,000 - £35,000 salary.
