This position is full-time, following a first shift schedule, 36.25 hours per week, 7:45 AM - 3:00 PM with one late day, 12:30 PM - 7:45 PM, Monday - Friday.
As a Correctional Substance Abuse trainee, you will have the opportunity to receive training in agency substance abuse counseling procedures, offender substance abuse programs, personnel policies, program guidelines and legal reporting requirements.
You will receive training in utilization of interviewing techniques required to assess client needs, elicit information and establish community referral sources.
As a trainee, you will also participate in screening offenders to determine eligibility for programs and assist in orientation of offenders to treatment programs.
You will prepare initial/long term treatment plans, Bio-psycho-social evaluation, case management, being part of facility based MOUD programming, received assistance in becoming certified/licensed through the CCB and DMHAS.

Qualifications & Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCEThree (3) years of experience in casework and/or counseling with some work with clients/offenders with behavioral healthcare issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWEDCollege training in human behavior may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of three (3) years. Contact Information
