Automotive Repair Manager
Location:
25 Hazard Avenue, STE 2B, Enfield, CT 06082
Lead automotive shop operations, manage inventory and sales, and develop a high‑performing team to achieve profitability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Management & Development: hire, schedule, evaluate performance, provide coaching, plan training and education for technicians and service writers.
- Customer Service & Relations: monitor quality service, review repairs with customers, address questions or concerns, and resolve complaints at both the shop and front counter.
- Operational Oversight: schedule repairs and maintenance, review facility efficiency, prepare weekly and monthly operational reports, maintain income and expense budgets to meet revenue and net‑income goals.
- Technical Assistance & Compliance: provide technical support to associates, act as Health & Safety Officer, enforce OSHA and local regulations, and stay current on EPA and environmental laws.
- Business Development & Community Engagement: build relationships with vendors, participate in local and national automotive organizations, and promote the Club Alliance image in the community.
- Process Improvement & Performance Management: recommend process improvements, facilitate tools for compliance and KPI alignment, and lead the team to exceed Customer Satisfaction and Quality scores while meeting productivity targets.
- General Responsibilities:
maintain awareness of car care products and Club Alliance services, practice shared values, and perform duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent; education combined with experience considered.
- Minimum 6 years automotive industry experience, with 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Automotive Technician certification strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a 5‑year record, ability to drive automatic and manual passenger vehicles and light/medium duty trucks.
- Successful pre‑ and post‑employment screening.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a retail automotive service operation.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic equipment and PC‑based applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational, analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Customer‑service orientation and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
- Financial data and report interpretation skills.
Base salary range: $76,307 to $111,164 annually, commensurate with experience and location. Eligible for monthly incentive pay based on store sales and overall performance. Sundays off each week and an additional day off, dependent on business need.
