As demand continues to grow for Conval's industry-leading severe service valves, we're expanding our machining team to support production across critical industrial markets. This role plays an important part in manufacturing precision valve components that operate in some of the world's harshest environments.

At Conval, you'll help produce high-performance products trusted by customers in power generation, oil & gas, refining, chemical processing, water treatment, pulp and paper, and other demanding industries where reliability is essential.

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centers independently
• Perform turning, boring, facing, threading, and related machining operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Select tooling, fixtures, and work holding solutions for production jobs
• Set feeds, speeds, offsets, and machine parameters
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Verify part quality using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed
• Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the shop
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

You’ll work with equipment such as:

Machines:

• CNC Turning Centers
• CNC Machining Centers
• Lathe and Mill-Turn Equipment

Controls:

• Mazak
• Mazatrol
• Fanuc

Inspection Equipment:

• Calipers
• Micrometers
• Gauges
• Precision measuring instruments

Depending on production requirements, you may machine:

• Stainless Steel
• Carbon Steel
• Alloy Steel
• Industrial valve components and related materials

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC machines
• Experience with CNC lathes, turning centers, or machining centers
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Understanding of tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds
• Experience using precision measuring tools and gauges
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach

• Experience with Mazak machines
• Familiarity with Mazatrol controls
• Fanuc control experience
• Mill-turn or multi-tasking machine experience
• Industrial valve, energy, or heavy industrial manufacturing experience
