Insight Global is seeking a Quality Inspector to join a leading quality and supplier management organization supporting aerospace and defense customers.
About the Role
This individual will work onsite at an aerospace distribution center, performing inspections on incoming aircraft and aerospace components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements to verify compliance
- Support First Article Inspections (FAIs) and quality documentation activities
- Verify inspection records, test data, supplier documentation, and material certifications
- Utilize SAP and other internal systems to validate vendor and product information
- Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions when quality issues arise
- Maintain accurate quality records and inspection reports
- Support a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment
Qualifications
- 1+ years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Understanding of GD&T principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Required Skills
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- First Article Inspection (FAI) experience, specifically AS9102
- Knowledge of CMM inspection processes
- Experience with SAP
- Experience supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Background in precision manufacturing, machining, medical device, defense, or other regulated industries
