About the Role

A flexible and reliable Relief Security Officer covering a range of sites across a defined area. The role involves protecting employees, visitors, and assets while delivering a high standard of customer service.

It requires adaptability, professionalism, confidence, integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness.

Key Responsibilities

Play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to sites; monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV.
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
  • Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
  • Provide support, guidance, and information to staff, visitors and contractors while ensuring safeguarding of the premises.

Minimum requirements:

  • Valid SIA licence.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel between sites.
  • Right to work in the UK with a 5‑year checkable history.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Willingness to cover sickness or last‑minute shifts.
  • Strong teamwork ethic.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
