Position Summary
The Accounting Manager for Kodiak Interiors Group will be responsible for overseeing the corporate accounting function of multiple operating companies. This individual will lead in the development and training of Staff and Senior Accountants as well continuously improving the department’s processes and procedures. This position will report to the Director of Accounting. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to work for a growing company.
Primary Duties- Manage, lead, train and assist in the development of staff and senior accountants
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process ensuring it’s completed accurately, including the review of Balance Sheet reconciliations and Profit & Loss statements
- Review of complex journal entries including allocation entries, accruals, deferred revenue, ASC 842 lease entries, prepaid amortizations, intercompany entries, etc.
- Develop, drive, and improve internal policies & procedures to ensure compliance and the highest integrity of the Company’s results
- Interpret accounting data and information, as well as research solutions to provide accurate and timely information
- Assist with the review of audit requests and preparation of audit schedules
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reporting
- Complete ad hoc projects, tasks, and reports when required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
- 8+ years of accounting experience preferred with a minimum of 3 years in supervisory role
- Strong understanding of accounting theory/GAAP and ability to perform research as necessary
- Must be detail oriented and technically minded
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize
- Experience in learning new financial accounting systems and utilizing advanced Excel skills
- Strong research and reconciliation skills required
- Knowledge and exposure to multi-company organizations a plus
This position is primarily on-site at our headquarters located at: 188 Inverness Dr. W Ste. 675 Englewood, CO 80112. Regular in-person attendance is required Monday through Thursday. Friday is an optional remote workday.
Reports toDirector of Accounting
Salary Range$115,000 – 130,000
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
