Staff Accountant

We are looking for a meticulous and driven Staff Accountant to join our team in Englewood, Colorado. This role involves supporting general accounting operations across multiple branches, assisting with month-end closings, and ensuring financial reporting accuracy. The position requires collaboration with the Controller and operational leaders to maintain compliance and streamline processes. Responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments to ensure accurate financial records.

Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Support intercompany transactions and allocation of branch-level expenses. Create internal financial reports and related supporting documentation. Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies in financial data. Maintain fixed asset schedules and process depreciation entries. Review accounts payable entries for accuracy and proper documentation.

Contribute to compliance efforts and assist with annual audit preparations. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
