The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the finance teams mission to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to facilitate the decision-making of key internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties- Conduct month-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
- Support the quarterly reviews and year-end audit with the independent auditors.
- Perform research and analytical review on significant transactions.
- Has a strong ability and interest to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and provide guidance on accounting-related matters.
- Ad-hoc accounting related projects.
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance; masters in accounting/CPA preferred. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.
- Positive and helpful attitude, along with commitment to process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in accounting roles.
- Proficiency in large accounting software (SAP or similar ERP experience) and advanced MS Excel skills.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines.
