Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems? We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our collaborative accounting team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring timely payments, supporting internal partners, and helping maintain smooth financial operations across the organization.

What You'll Do

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll manage high-volume invoice processing and serve as a key partner to both internal teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Review and process invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approvals before payment.

+ Manage a high-volume workload, processing approximately 500 invoices per week.

+ Monitor and respond to urgent payment requests through a shared AP inbox.

+ Serve as a liaison between corporate teams and field locations, researching and resolving payment issues.

+ Respond promptly to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries.

+ Maintain AP reports, records, and spreadsheets with accuracy and attention to detail.

+ Process and distribute signed checks and coordinate overnight shipments to branches and vendors.

+ Create daily ACH uploads for banking transactions.

+ Research and track invoice and payment status throughout the payment cycle.

+ Support month-end close by posting all invoices received by the final business day of the month.

+ Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.

+ Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce expenses.

+ Follow up with properties regarding outstanding security deposits.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

+ 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.

+ Experience processing high-volume invoices and performing data entry with accuracy.

+ Strong account reconciliation and invoice coding skills.

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

+

Experience with three-way matching.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience working within an ERP system.

+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

+ Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwood Village, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
