Senior Accountant
Robert Half is partnering with a rapidly growing financial services organization to hire a Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-growth company where you'll work closely with executive leadership and play a key role in the month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and consolidations
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with treasury and cash management activities
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including budget-to-actual and variance analysis
- Analyze financial results and explain key trends and variances to leadership
- Monitor key performance indicators and support financial planning activities
- Prepare 1099 reporting and assist with state and local tax filings
- Support lease administration and other accounting operations
- Cross-train and provide backup support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting functions
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 3+ years of accounting experience with month-end close responsibilities
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Experience in a multi-entity environment preferred
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Stable work history with strong professional references
