Hybrid – Monday & TuesdayConsolidated Investment Group
About Consolidated Investment Group
Real estate is built on numbers as much as it's built on buildings — and at Consolidated Investment Group, we've built our reputation on getting both right. As a real estate investment and management firm with a growing, varied portfolio of owned and managed properties, we operate where strategy meets execution, and where sharp financial judgment shapes every asset and every outcome.
We're looking for people who don't just keep pace with a fast-moving industry — they help set it. If that sounds like you, let's talk.
The Opportunity
We're hiring a Senior Real Estate Portfolio Accountant to take full ownership of the numbers behind a defined slate of properties — not as a back-office function, but a critical member of the team. You'll run the complete accounting cycle for your portfolio end to end, translate the details into insights leadership can act on, and become the go-to financial voice for Asset Management, Property Management, Treasury, and Tax..
If you want your expertise to move the needle — not just document what already happened — this is that role.

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities and properties
Prepare financial statements and variance analyses for leadership and investors
Own bank reconciliations, AP/AR oversight, and balance sheet integrity
- Manage weekly cash tracking, forecasting, and funding for your portfolio
Execute wires, transfers, and ACH transactions with proper governance
Monitor debt covenants and support loan management
- Partner with Real Estate and Property Management on budgeting and forecasting
Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and communicate key drivers to stakeholders
Review external property management reports for accuracy and improvement opportunities
- Audit development projects and validate construction spending
Manage lien waivers and project reconciliations
- Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls
Drive process and system improvements
Lead the 1099 process and vendor management
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field5+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate, real estate, or fund/investment environments
Deep knowledge of US GAAP, partnership accounting, lease accounting, and CAM reconciliations
Proficiency with Business Central or a comparable real estate accounting system
performance-based incentive opportunities (based on personal and department objectives). CIG also offers medical, dental, vision coverage, STD and LTD, Life insurance, 401(k) with company match, vacation, holiday, personal days, and sick pay.
