On-Air Scheduling Coordinator

12 months contract ONSITE in Stamford CT Must have open availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs. Pay rate $24-25/hr W2

Looking for an On-Air Scheduling Coordinator who is responsible for maintaining the on-air play-out schedules for the on-air operation. The coordinator serves as a direct point of contact between on-air operations, commercial operations, and program operations to ensure that playlists are scheduled properly for air.

Essential Functions

• Maintains air ready schedules and program formats for play-out across the suite of cable and broadcast properties, digital and linear, by way of the firms proprietary scheduling systems
• Coordinates the scheduling and reprocessing of quick turnaround primetime programming to ensure we provide a complete 24/7 continuous schedule across all networks and channels
• Performs traffic compares and any scheduling or formatting changes needed because of programming changes, traffic adjustments, or operational needs of the NOC
• Schedule program clearances by organizing and distributing all orders to 248 owned and affiliate stations
• Understands all technical programs required including but not limited to TLL, Web scheduler, OTTO, Wide Orbit, Sintec, and Street lite
• Executes contingency scheduling for sports replays such as JIPs, filler programming, and sliding of schedules to bring networks back on time
• Validates web scheduler playlists for reliable resource and hardware assignments prior to play out
• Assists with troubleshooting as needed
• Willingness and open availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet the 24/7 operational needs

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience required.
• Previous experience in a 24/7 broadcast operation preferred.
• Previous experience with broadcast automation systems preferred.

• Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite:

• Ability to quickly learn new software applications and scheduling systems.
• Knowledge or ability to learn broadcast scheduling platforms such as TLL, Web scheduler, OTTO, Wide Orbit, Sintec, and Street lite.
