Position: 2027 Summer Intern: Regulatory Compliance and Governance (NTS)

Spectrum Internship Program

This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

At a Glance

You're a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:

  • Law, Liberal Arts, Political Science, History, English, Philosophy, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Business Technology Management

This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.

Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.

In addition to role-specific projects, you'll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:

  • Enables Network Technology Services to meet regulatory requirements through governance, reporting, training, and compliance program management. Collaborates across the business to reduce risk, improve operational readiness and enable consistent compliance.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of regulatory compliance and governance programs across Network Technology Services
  • Conduct research and analyze regulatory requirements, industry trends, and business processes to support compliance initiatives.
  • Assist in developing reports, presentations, training materials, and process documentation.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and collaborate with business partners on assigned projects.
  • Support project planning, tracking, and coordination for regulatory and governance initiatives.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather information, document requirements, and support implementation of compliance-related initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Required qualifications

  • Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
