Now Hiring: ICC B2 Commercial Building Inspector

A well-established and growing organization in the Denver area is seeking a certified ICC B2 Commercial Building Inspector to join their team. This role is ideal for an inspector who values professionalism, technical accuracy, and working on a variety of commercial projects.

Position Overview

The ICC B2 Inspector will be responsible for performing building inspections to ensure compliance with adopted building codes, local ordinances, and safety regulations on commercial structures. This individual will work closely with contractors, engineers, and project teams to support safe and code-compliant construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform commercial building inspections in accordance with ICC codes and local jurisdiction requirements
  • Review construction work for compliance with approved plans and specifications
  • Interpret and enforce International Building Code (IBC) and related codes
  • Document inspection findings and maintain accurate inspection records
  • Communicate corrections and requirements clearly to contractors and site personnel
  • Coordinate with plan reviewers, engineers, and project teams as needed
  • Provide professional customer service while maintaining code integrity
Qualifications
  • Required: ICC B2 Commercial Building Inspector Certification
  • Strong knowledge of IBC and commercial construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Previous experience in municipal inspection or third-party inspection preferred
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in the Denver area
