Our EPC client is seeking a Construction Coordinator to support the successful execution of complex EPC, construction management, and program management projects. This role provides critical coordination and administrative support across safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, procurement, and field operations.
The Construction Coordinator will work on a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple industries, including aviation, commercial buildings, electrical transmission & distribution, facilities, manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation, process, and water
. This position plays a key role in supporting project teams, maintaining compliance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Assist Project Management teams with administration of prime contracts, downstream contracts, change orders, and claims mitigation.
- Support proposal development, estimates, procurement activities, and subcontractor/supplier coordination.
- Assist with RFP package development, bid evaluation, and subcontractor/supplier selection processes.
- Coordinate supplier and subcontractor registration and prequalification efforts.
- Adhere to company safety programs and policies and assist others with compliance.
- Assist with development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, Safety & Health Plan, Subcontracting Plan, Staffing Plan, Organization Chart, and Procurement Plan.
- Conduct or assist with project safety, quality, progress, and financial audits as required.
- Support project controls efforts including cost reporting, scheduling, earned value tracking, and field progress tracking.
- Assist with development of internal and external reports such as budgets, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project status reports.
- Participate in project, corporate, and risk review meetings; prepare, record, and distribute meeting minutes.
- Assist with jobsite setup, mobilization, and demobilization activities.
- Assist with securing required project permits.
- Coordinate construction equipment to ensure adequate inventory for project execution.
- Assist with onboarding of craft personnel and field supervision.
- Analyze and report composite crew rates to determine labor and equipment costs.
- Monitor labor burdens, craft classifications, benefits, and applicable labor laws.
- Maintain accurate craft classification, progression, and competency records.
- Assist with staffing needs, forecasting, and management of craft installation unit rates.
- Establish and administer project documentation and filing systems.
- Support invoicing processes for prime contracts, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Assist with project turnover documentation, warranty administration, record retention, and project closeout.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage high volumes of work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must meet company driving requirements.
- Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software.
- Prior experience supporting EPC or large-scale construction projects.
