The Premier Group is partnering with a well-established commercial contractor seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will be responsible for the overall success of the jobsite, including safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, manpower management, and project execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong field experience and a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Oversee all day-to-day field operations and construction activities on assigned projects.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, including look-ahead schedules and recovery plans as needed.
- Conduct subcontractor preconstruction meetings, coordination meetings, and site walks.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, inspections, quality control logs, and as-built drawings.
- Enforce site safety policies and procedures, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a strong safety culture on every project.
- Coordinate with Project Managers regarding project schedules, procurement, manpower needs, change orders, and potential project impacts.
- Manage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment coordination, staging areas, housekeeping, security, and overall site organization.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address issues related to schedule, quality, manpower, and subcontractor performance.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors throughout the life of the project.
- Lead project closeout activities, punch list completion, inspections, and final turnover.
- Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience with increasing levels of field leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing ground-up and/or large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Experience managing multiple trades and coordinating complex project activities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction management software preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred.
