Position Summary
The Construction Estimator II is responsible for independently preparing and managing cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role works directly with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop accurate bids and support project success from preconstruction through handoff.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Review architectural plans, specifications, and project documentation to define scope
- Perform site visits and assessments to gather project-specific information
- Communicate directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to clarify scope and pricing
- Develop and present proposals and participate in client discussions
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Utilize estimating software and tools for cost analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- Maintain records of estimated versus actual costs for continuous improvement
- Assist with contract negotiations to ensure projects align with budget expectations
- Coordinate with project management teams to ensure estimates align with execution and outcomes
- Stay current on construction materials, technologies, and industry trends
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- 2–5 years of construction estimating experience
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Excel, Company Cam, or similar
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
$95,000 – $115,000 annually
Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and market conditions

This is an exempt position and is not eligible for overtime.
