JOB SUMMARY:
The Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of jobsite management, including staffing, scheduling, and subcontractor relations. This role oversees the project throughout its lifecycle, from award to completion, ensuring that all construction activities are executed in accordance with project plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. The Superintendent will professionally represent the company and effectively support strategic initiatives while fostering positive long-term relationships with all business partners, including ownership, design professionals, and subcontractors.
This position is critical for ensuring the quality and timely delivery of projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, and budget management.

Duties / Responsibilities:
- The Superintendent provides overall supervision and support to the jobsite, subcontractors, and field staff to ensure high quality and timely delivery of the project.
- Coordinate subcontractors in schedule development to facilitate accurate planning and execution.
- Host and/or attend all trade pre-construction and coordination meetings to ensure alignment among all parties.
- Coordinate and host all on-site subcontractor coordination meetings to address project needs and challenges.
- Lead, implement, and enforce jobsite safety requirements and the company's Quality Assurance Program.
- Create and manage the project schedule, ensuring timely completion of tasks and effective coordination among team members and subcontractors, while communicating with the Project Manager to account for all key activities, impacts, delays, and changes.
- Responsible for jobsite documentation, ensuring that legal documents are prepared, distributed, and filed for record keeping.
- Daily reports completed daily, documenting site activities, labor hours, materials used, deliveries, equipment used, inspections, safety incidents, delays and any other issues encountered.

- Daily Photo documentation of progress in Procore
- Responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date set of working red-lined/as-built contract documents available to all on-site personnel.
- Manage all on-site field staff, including supervision of hourly craft and labor.
- Coordinate and manage tasks with consideration to cost and schedule constraints.
- Conduct reviews as directed by the Construction Executives or General Superintendents to ensure project alignment.
- Communicate manpower needs with as much advanced notice as practical to ensure adequate staffing.
- Responsible for the professional setup and maintenance of the jobsite, including:
- Office trailer and site logistics
- Required signage and marketing opportunities.
- Housekeeping
- Staging area
- Fencing & Security
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to effectively manage procurement and delivery schedules, as well as change management processes.
- The Superintendent has direct authority over on-site field staff and will coordinate with Project Managers on critical project decisions.
- Coordinate with subcontractors on all contracted work to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedule.

Education / Experience/ Training:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction is essential.
- Preferred:
Experience in managing large-scale projects or specific types of construction (e.g., multi-family, education, residential, commercial). - Must maintain OSHA 30 certification (minimum) and complete any project-specific safety training as needed.
- Participation in training for ASTA Scheduling and advanced scheduling theory is required.
- Ongoing training for operational software to remain current is expected.
- Additional
Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus. - Continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, or courses related to construction management, safety regulations, and industry best practices to be completed at a minimum of once annually.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of commercial construction and exceptional jobsite management skills; delivers on key projects and commitments through professional expertise and effective leadership abilities.
