Superintendent (Heavy Civil Construction - Bridge)

A well-established and growing heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced superintendent with bridge experience to oversee complex infrastructure projects throughout Colorado. This organization specializes in heavy concrete structures including bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and roadway infrastructure for public and private clients.

This position will manage field operations from project start through completion while ensuring safety, quality, scheduling, and budget objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day construction activities on heavy civil projects.
  • Lead field personnel, subcontractors, and project coordination.
  • Oversee bridge, roadway, and structural concrete construction.
  • Coordinate schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Monitor project budgets and job costs.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Work closely with project managers, owners, municipalities, and inspectors.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience.
  • Bridge construction Superintendent experience is required and will be the primary qualification evaluated during the interview process.
  • Heavy civil bridge and roadway construction experience.
  • Experience managing DOT, municipal, county, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project budgets and job cost reporting.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Safety-first mindset.
  • Willingness to travel throughout project locations.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
Compensation
  • $120,000–$130,000
