We are seeking an experienced
Senior Project Manager
with extensive commercial development experience to support our growing portfolio of projects nationwide.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing complex commercial development projects from due diligence through design, permitting, construction, and project closeout. This individual will become an integral part of our Development Services team, working directly with ownership, clients, consultants, municipalities, and contractors.

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead multiple commercial development projects simultaneously while serving as the primary point of coordination between owners, design professionals, engineers, municipalities, contractors, and development partners.

This position requires exceptional leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to proactively manage schedules, budgets, risks, and project teams.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from due diligence through construction completion.
  • Manage project planning, design coordination, entitlement, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
  • Coordinate architects, civil engineers, structural engineers, MEP consultants, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and specialty consultants.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and milestone tracking.
  • Review plans and specifications for quality, constructability, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Manage consultant contracts, contractor agreements, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Lead owner meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and contractor progress meetings.
  • Identify project risks and develop solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate municipal approvals, permitting agencies, utility providers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Prepare executive-level project reports for ownership and clients.
  • Conduct periodic site visits throughout the United States.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum
    10 years
    of commercial development and project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Extensive experience managing commercial construction and development projects valued between$5 million and $50+ million
    .
Strong understanding of commercial development processes, including:
  • Site planning
  • Entitlements
  • Design coordination
  • Construction administration
  • Budgeting
  • Scheduling
  • Contract management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software, and project management platforms such as Procore.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with direct experience in the following sectors are highly preferred:

  • Self Storage
  • Boat & RV Storage
  • Small Bay Flex Industrial
  • Commercial Development

Experience with ground-up developments, multi-story climate-controlled facilities, adaptive reuse, and large-scale commercial construction is highly desirable.
