• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs tailored to the specific needs of various construction projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote safety awareness and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Organize and lead safety training sessions for employees, focusing on best practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries from employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance overall safety performance.
• Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, ensuring the company remains compliant and proactive in its safety efforts.
• Foster a culture of safety by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives and recognizing outstanding safety performance.
• Collaborate with external safety consultants and regulatory bodies to ensure the company meets all safety standards and requirements.
• Prepare and present safety reports to senior management, highlighting key safety metrics and recommendations for improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST, or similar) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with safety audits and inspections.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in construction.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
• Experience in conducting safety training and workshops.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
