We are seeking an experienced and motivated Asphalt and Concrete Project Manager to oversee all phases of paving and concrete construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil construction with an emphasis on asphalt and concrete work, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage crews, subcontractors, budgets, and schedules effectively.
Key Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of asphalt and concrete projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines.
Coordinate work between field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Monitor job sites to ensure quality control, safety, and compliance with local codes and regulations.
Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and resolve issues.
Perform job costing and prepare change orders as necessary.
Conduct pre-construction and progress meetings with stakeholders.
Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and permits.
Supervise site foremen and ensure optimal crew productivity and performance.
Handle project close-out procedures including final inspections and punch lists.
Qualifications:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in asphalt, concrete, or civil construction project management.
Proven experience managing multiple paving and/or flatwork projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Buildertrend) and MS Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Majority of work is performed on construction sites with exposure to outdoor elements and jobsite hazards.
Must be able to walk on uneven ground, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditions.
Occasional office work required for planning, reporting, and meetings.
