About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Social-First Designer (Contract) to execute high-impact, platform-native creative for a financial services brand. This role reports directly to the Creative Director and focuses on short-form, feed-based social content where motion, video, and design are used strategically to stop the scroll and communicate clearly in seconds.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for a designer who thinks in feeds, formats, and platforms not long-form timelines or cinematic reels. Success in this role requires comfort working quickly, iterating often, and designing within the constraints of a regulated environment.
What You ll Do- Design and produce social-first motion, video, and static content for platforms including Linked In, Instagram, Tik Tok, X, and You Tube
- Create short-form videos, animations, reels, stories, and posts optimized for feed-based consumption
- Translate complex financial topics into clear, engaging, and compliant social creative
- Design motion and video that works sound-off, captions-first, mobile-first, and within the first 1-2 seconds of viewing
- Execute creative direction provided by the Creative Director while elevating craft and clarity
- Optimize creative for platform-specific behaviors, aspect ratios, and placements
- Produce variations for performance testing and iterative learning
- Apply brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and compliance requirements consistently
- Manage multiple work streams and fast turnarounds in a high-volume social environment
- Incorporate feedback efficiently from marketing, creative, and compliance partners
- 6 years of experience in social media design, motion design, or multimedia design
- A portfolio that clearly demonstrates social-first work created specifically for platforms such as Linked In, Instagram, Tik Tok, X, or You Tube
- Strong examples of short-form, feed-based content (reels, posts, paid social units, stories)
- Advanced proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Familiarity with Figma preferred
- Deep understanding of platform-native pacing, hierarchy, and engagement mechanics
- Experience working within brand systems and regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver under tight deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Broadcast, cinematic, long-form, or purely editorial animation alone is not sufficient
- We are specifically looking for work designed for feeds, scrolling behavior, and social platforms
- Experience in financial services, fintech, insurance, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with paid social creative and performance optimization
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (captioning, color contrast, WCAG guidelines)
- Bachelor s degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Film/Video Production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 6-month contract role
- Full-time, hybrid work (requires on-location Denver office appearances when needed)
- Individual contributor role with no direct reports
- Reports directly to the Creative Director
