I. Summary of the position:
Classroom Teacher (General – Grammar K-6, Logic 7-8, or Rhetoric 9-12)
Teachers will work closely with the Dean of their grade level to provide an excellent classical and Christian education founded upon a biblical worldview that equips students to live purposefully and intelligently in service to God and others. All BRAVE Academy faculty are employed by BRAVE Church. Therefore, regular attendance at BRAVE Church is required.
II.Key Responsibilities:
Instructional & Classroom Responsibilities:
- Integrates biblical truth throughout all subjects, modeling a Christ-centered worldview and helping students understand all knowledge in light of Scripture.
- Applies classical pedagogy consistently and implements the school’s curriculum, scope, sequence, and pacing with excellence.
- Creates and maintains a well‑ordered, beautiful classroom environment that reflects Christian virtue, respect, and stewardship.
- Establishes clear routines and procedures that promote order, diligence, and responsibility in daily tasks such as attendance, homework collection, and materials management.
- Teaches, models, and consistently enforces the school’s behavioral expectations, shepherding students toward self‑discipline and godly conduct.
- Cultivates meaningful relationships with students, guiding them in Christlike character, manners, respect, responsibility, and peacemaking.
- Collaborates with faculty to ensure unity in curriculum pacing, grading practices, behavior expectations, and grade‑level events.
- Participates actively in weekly faculty meetings and seeks guidance from the Dean or Head of School when needed.
- Builds strong, grace‑filled relationships with families through proactive communication and supports parents in understanding the classical Christian education model.
- Practices biblical principles of communication and reconciliation, addressing concerns directly, respectfully, and in accordance with Scripture.
- Partners with the Dean or Head of School to address student struggles, discipline concerns, and classroom interventions, following established guidelines.
- Completes assigned supervisory duties—including lunch, recess, carline, and homeroom—with a spirit of service and care.
- Participates faithfully in faculty prayer, devotions, and other spiritual formation activities that strengthen the school’s Christian community.
- Attends required faculty meetings, trainings, and in‑service sessions with a commitment to ongoing professional and spiritual growth.
- Contributes to major school events such as Back‑to‑School Night, Recitation Night, and Parent‑Teacher Conferences, supporting the partnership between home and school.
- Works closely with the Dean of Grammar on a professional development plan that strengthens both teaching practice and spiritual leadership.
- Completes additional duties as assigned by the Head of School or executive leadership, demonstrating flexibility, humility, and a willingness to serve the school’s mission.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, demonstrating warmth, clarity, and professionalism in all relationships.
- Confident, steady leadership marked by humility, motivation, and a teachable spirit.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with consistency and care.
- Committed to ongoing growth, demonstrating self‑awareness, eagerness to learn, and openness to professional development.
- Deep alignment with and commitment to the mission and vision of BRAVE Academy, including adherence to all published school policies.

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Classical Educator Certificate or relevant experience strongly valued.
- Demonstrated expertise in the assigned grade level and developmental stage.
