Principal Faculty: PA Student Success Facilitator (0.6 FTE Part‑Time)
Location:
Englewood, CO. Salary: $54,545 to $69,000 per year, depending on experience and faculty rank. The final salary will be set by the RVU Rank and Promotions Committee.
Benefits:

Primary PurposeThe Student Success Facilitator (SSF) provides essential academic and personal support to students within the Physician Assistant (PA) Program, enhancing student learning, retention, and overall success.
Responsibilities- Student Success Program Implementation & Support (25%): implement and support the existing student success program aligned with the PA program’s mission; identify at‑risk students and develop personalized action plans; track student engagement and report on effectiveness; evaluate programs and recommend revisions; monitor academic progression.
- Remediation & Academic Coaching (30%): collaborate with faculty to design and adjust remediation plans; deliver academic coaching individually or in groups; guide students in developing study habits, time management, and strategies to overcome challenges.
- Resource Coordination & Liaison (20%): connect students with academic resources and support services; coordinate with institutional services; serve as liaison between students and administration; advocate for student needs.
- Facilitation of Learning (15%): conduct individual or group sessions on test‑taking strategies, stress management, and communication; collaborate with faculty to integrate success strategies into curriculum; develop and deliver lectures or small group sessions as needed.
- Service & Program Support (10%): serve on PA program and university committees; attend faculty meetings, retreats, accreditation activities; participate in admissions; perform other duties as assigned.
- Comprehensive knowledge of educational practices in higher education, especially health professions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, building rapport with diverse students.
- Team collaboration and ability to engage diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of instructional and mentoring techniques.
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Adaptability to change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and academic systems such as Canvas or Blackboard.
- Commitment to inclusive excellence.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution (e.g., education, counseling, health sciences).
- Current license (or eligibility) to practice in Colorado for clinical backgrounds relevant to the PA program.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Three or more years of professional experience in student support roles within higher education.
- Experience in curriculum development or teaching within a PA program.
- Proficiency in success coaching or motivational interviewing techniques.
- Ability to identify student needs and connect them with appropriate resources.
- Final applicant must pass background check and drug screening.
