A growing and highly respected organization in the Denver market is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support major commercial construction projects. This is a leadership-level role for an engineer who can drive design quality, mentor teams, and collaborate closely with construction and project stakeholders.

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will oversee mechanical system design and coordination for large-scale commercial projects. This role blends technical expertise, project leadership, and cross-discipline collaboration to ensure high-performance, code-compliant building systems.

• Lead design and engineering of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial facilities
• Oversee load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts
• Ensure compliance with IBC, IMC, IECC, and local codes
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and construction teams
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
• Support value engineering and problem-solving during preconstruction and construction phases
• Participate in client meetings and represent the mechanical discipline

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
• PE license preferred (or ability to obtain in Colorado)
• Proficiency in industry software (AutoCAD, Revit, load calculation tools)
• Solid understanding of energy codes and high-efficiency system design
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
