Join us at Lockheed Martin as an Electro-Mechanical Packaging Associate Manager for the D5 Life Extension II program for avionics design and analysis.

Location:

This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton or Englewood CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like?

• Provide functional and program management, executing technical work to cost and schedule commitments.
• Provide leadership, functional management and technical direction to a team of engineers responsible for electronics packaging development, including mechanical design, stress and thermal analysis, electronics and mechanical CAD (drawing development and release).
• Work with other cross‑functional teams and suppliers in a formative environment, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to organize, motivate, and lead large groups of diverse personnel that includes customers, partners, and suppliers that are geographically dispersed.
• Enjoy helping subordinates, colleagues, and associates by providing mentoring, career counseling, and technical help.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and adaptability to a dynamic environment.

• 8+ years of professional experience.
• US Citizenship
  , as this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience in Mechanical Design with strong understanding of electronics, structures, mechanics and materials.
• Experience leading a technical team.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; thus a US Citizen

• Experience leading a multi‑disciplined Design Team.
• Familiarity with DFx Principles (Design for Affordability, Design for Manufacturability, etc.).
• History of accepting responsibility, being accountable, and strong performance.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Corrective Action Board experience leading to suggested Command Media updates.
• Integrated Product Team (IPT) experience.
• Ability to create an environment of continuous product and process improvement.
• Willing to take risks, learn new areas and operate outside the comfort zone.
• Experience creating cost and schedule projections or Basis of Estimates (BOE).
• Existing security clearance.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

  The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• Work Schedules:
  Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
