As a Systems Engineer, you will use your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify, and improve cutting‑edge products and services. You will develop and integrate AI/ML technologies in support of a rapid development program, and support rapid development, test, and iterations on innovative technologies driving advancements that shape the future.

Work on projects to develop and integrate cutting‑edge automation of critical mission systems, supporting operational aircraft systems and software to support the warfighter. Strong communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders are essential as you develop solutions and support organizational and program objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Perform intermediate tasks in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
  • Conduct system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management with minimal supervision.
  • Provide technical responsibility for the development and integration of advanced systems incorporating AI/ML and autonomous capabilities.
  • Maintain and support systems integration lab and integration/test events.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools.
  • Practical knowledge of multiple engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working in multi‑disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools such as DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB.
  • Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, including but not limited to requirements management, MBSE.
  • Experience or certification in INCOSE standards (Associate Systems Engineering Professional).
  • Exposure to baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high‑impact trade studies.
  • Understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Hands‑on experience with aircraft mission systems integration including computer networking, video encoding, and containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with ISR operations, aircraft, and sensor systems.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for system modeling and documentation.
  • Ability to work in an office with occasional travel.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.

Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 – $. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
