Overview

Kimley-Horn's Denver, Colorado (CO) office is seeking a Noise Control Engineer with 1+ years of experience to join their Acoustics Engineering team.

Responsibilities

* Provide detailed acoustic analysis and prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for clients.

* Analyze and develop noise mitigation strategies for a variety of engineering projects such as roadway, rail and transit, and industrial facilities.

* Conduct acoustic measurements, modeling, and simulations using industry-standard tools and software.

* Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate acoustic solutions into overall project designs.

* Stay informed about local building codes, regulations, and standards related to acoustics and noise control.

* Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining client satisfaction.

* Conduct site visits and oversee the implementation of acoustic solutions during construction phases.

* Approximately 30 - 45% travel time

* Provide technical expertise related to noise control, sound isolation, room acoustics, HVAC noise and vibration control, and environmental noise assessments.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Environmental or a related field.

* 1+ years of experience in noise control engineering, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.

* Proficiency in acoustic modeling software (TNM, Sound

PLAN, Cadna

A, GIS preferred)

* Strong knowledge of soundproofing, vibration isolation, and noise control techniques.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

* Experience with the use of sound and vibration test equipment

* Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines

* Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment

* Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of projects concurrently

* Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills with a continuous mindset on personal and staff development

* Positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic

Salary Range:

* $95,000 - $102,000

* Eligible for Performance Based Bonus Compensation
