Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Mechanical Engineer Staff in the Post Boost Control System (PBCS) hardware IPT, you will support the development of propulsion hardware through requirement maturation, design, integration, and testing as the Certified Principle Engineer (CPE) for the FBM Life Extension 2 (LE2) team.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, sustainment)
- Hardware experience including design, analysis, assembly, integration, and/or test
- Experience working with suppliers and external customers
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience with FBM processes and products
- Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience
- Experience with propulsion hardware development
- Experience with refractory metals
- Experience using EPDM Windchill, SAP, CREO, and design tools
- Ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent fields (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, etc.)
- Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences
This position requires a government security clearance. The clearance level is Secret and the candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
Work Location and ScheduleOnsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Schedule:
9x80 with every other Friday off.
