Fleet Ballistic Missiles  FBM  is one of Lockheed Martin's outstanding Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity, and reliability  The Life Extension 2  LE2  team is an organization within the greater FBM program which supports the development of the next generation system by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System

The Controls group is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the design and production support of the systems that control the missile both before and after boost  This position is for a Mechanical Engineer Senior in a Post Boost Control System  PBCS  hardware IPT  In this role, you will support the development of propulsion thrusters through requirement maturation, integration, and testing

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* - Bachelor's degree in Engineering from accredited college or related technical discipline or equivalent experience

- Hardware experience including, design, analysis, assembly, integration, and/or test

- Experience in working with suppliers and external customers

- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Skills:

* - Experience with FBM processes and products

- Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience

- Experience with propulsion hardware

- Experience using EPDM Windchill, SAP, CREO, and design tools

- Ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent fields  systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, etc

- Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non technical audiences

** Work Schedules:
** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees   Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed   These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits

** Schedule for this Position:
** 9x80 every other Friday off

** Pay Rate:
** The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York  excluding most major metropolitan areas , Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500    $150,765  For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location  Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only  Lockheed Martin considers factors such as  but not limited to  scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer
