Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning, design, and construction of airfield lighting and navigational aid projects.
  • Perform electrical‑related design tasks or projects in support of project and design managers.
  • Prepare bidding documents, including plans & specifications, lighting layout, power distribution, lighting controls, electrical facilities, airfield navigational aids, signage, coordination with other disciplines, quantity takeoffs, design reports, cost estimates, and construction scheduling.
  • Perform, assist or oversee construction‑related tasks including on‑site construction observation and project engineering.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem‑solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork.
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation electrical engineering experience with demonstrated technical design of airfield ground lighting, navigational aids, lighting controls, and electrical infrastructure projects, including electrical design engineering reports and specifications.
  • Understanding and implementation of FAA Advisory Circulars and UFC criteria.
  • Construction support experience (review of RFIs and material submittals, preparation of RFQs, field orders, and change orders; field observation/site visits as needed).
  • Demonstrated skill and working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Experience performing voltage drop, available fault current, and arc‑flash calculations is a plus.
