Description
The LE2 Program Quality Engineer will support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Quality Program in Denver, CO at the Jamaica Street Campus. This role is responsible for the overall implementation, maintenance, and compliance to quality and program requirements throughout the program’s life cycle. The engineer will manage the implementation and execution of program quality requirements, serve as the Quality Lead for design, development, production, and mobilization phases, and partner with program teams across functions.
This position manages all aspects of quality across the program’s life cycle, including proposals, contract review, start‑up, development, transition to production, production, and support. The engineer will perform contract reviews, flow down contract quality requirements to the quality team, establish quality budgets and cost commitments, ensure Quality Assurance Plans are documented and implemented, schedule and conduct program assessments such as quality audits, and participate in independent program reviews to identify risks and drive Return to Green plans.
Additionally, the engineer will maintain customer quality relationships, establish and maintain effective Quality Program Team business rhythm, and engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive actions.
Responsibilities include:
- Implement and maintain quality and program requirements across the program life‑cycle.
- Serve as Quality Lead for design, development, production, and mobilization phases.
- Perform contract reviews and flow down contract quality requirements.
- Establish quality budgets and cost commitments.
- Ensure QA Plans are current and implemented.
- Schedule and conduct quality audits and assessments.
- Participate in independent program reviews and drive Return to Green plans.
- Maintain customer quality relationships and effective team rhythm.
- Engage in product failure investigations, MRB decisions, and C/P actions.
- Evaluate quality systems for deficiencies and implement corrective measures.
- Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment.
- Perform statistical analysis on products or materials not meeting specifications.
- Technical bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or a master’s degree.
- Quality experience in a test or production environment.
- Proficiency with discrepancy documents or SAP or other databases.
- Experience with quality or manufacturing engineering processes or policies and/or quality systems management requirements.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- 5+ years of related quality experience.
- Electrical engineering experience.
- Master’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
- Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt or higher certification.
- Familiar with FBM related discrepancy documents/processes.
- Knowledgeable regarding audit processes.
- Experience engaging with external government customers.
- Experience in a missile processing environment.
- Familiarity with missile hardware, processes, systems, enterprise requirements, and command media.
- Understanding of applying T9001, Technical Program Management Requirements.
- Experienced with non‑conformance (PR/MRB) requirements and systems.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with data analytics to report trends and drive improvements and efficiencies.
- Secret clearance.
This position requires a government security clearance. A US citizen is required for consideration.

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $104,500 – $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
