We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer for the Lockheed Martin FBM Program to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. The role requires strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, test) to plan and execute projects.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects (technical, schedule, budget).
- Maintain project status reports, documenting progress, issues, and risks.
- Collaborate with program management to develop and maintain program‑level plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Align projects with business objectives and customer needs in coordination with integrated product teams.
- Project engineering experience.
- Willingness/eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Open Plan.
- Missile or space segment design and test experience (subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering).
- Systems thinking skills for solving sophisticated problems and implementing constructive change.
- Ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with cross‑functional collaboration.
- Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking.
- Experience throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, operational deployment).
- Business Rhythm creation and management experience.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and risk mitigation.
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills.
- Certification in project management (PMI/PMP or Agile Certified Practitioner).
- Active or Current Secret clearance.
This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Other Important Information- Onsite full‑time at designated Lockheed Martin facility.
- Work schedule:
9x80 every other Friday off. - Pay range (California, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, etc.): $104,500 – $184,115 annually; salary determined by location and experience.
