Job Details
Application Engineer – A full‑time on‑site role at Applied Control Headquarters in Englewood, CO. Join a team of skilled professionals developing unique cost‑saving solutions for our customers in oil & gas, refining, power, life science, mining, chemical, food & beverage, and alternative fuels.
Responsibilities- Deliver technical assistance to external and internal customers for their process control solutions needs.
- Execute Applied Control’s overall business strategy and initiatives through interactions at various levels with customers and vendors.
- Provide internal sales and technical support to account managers and outside sales specialists, exhibiting teamwork and effective communications.
- Understand and effectively communicate customer needs and business issues to colleagues, positioning Applied Control as customers’ trusted advisor.
- Develop an unmatched level of expertise in the application of all final control element products and solutions offered, delivering quality solutions and services to our many customers and industries.
- Support customer activities including, but not limited to, responding to telephone and email requests, delivering technical product and application knowledge and support, and conducting terms and conditions negotiations.
- Work independently and as part of a team; extensive phone and email communications with customers are expected.
- Limited travel may apply; the position requires short, out‑of‑town paid training sessions.
- Strong technical background.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly effective at building long‑term relationships.
- Entrepreneurial work ethic.
- College degree in Engineering – Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office, industry‑related software tools such as sizing, application, and quotation tools, and Windows OS.
- Ability to read and understand process and instrumentation drawings (P&’s) and match customer instrumentation and final control specification sheets to properly applied products.
- Great problem‑solving skills.
Base wage range: $70,000 – $100,000. Prior work or industry experience as well as job‑related education and unique skills will be taken into consideration when setting the wage rate.
Other variable compensation:
Eligible for an annual profit‑share award based on company performance.
