Johnson Service Group is looking for a contract Sr. Mass Properties Engineer to work in Englewood, CO.
Rate: $65.00-$75.00 DOE
Sr Mass Properties EngineerAs a Sr Mass Properties Engineer you will generate mass properties databases to track weight and CG estimates, support aircraft weighing, and ensure that the right mass properties reporting is communicated across the team and to external customers and suppliers in an effective and timely manner.
Must‑Have Skills- Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Deep knowledge of SAWE Recommended Practices RP-7 and RP-8
- Experience with aircraft weighing and associated forms and charts
- Experience with conceptual level design support and parametric modeling
- Experience building mass properties estimates from CAD data
- Author for weight and balance reports
- Experience working in multi‑disciplinary design & development teams
- Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS) training within the previous three years
- Familiarity with Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) for military programs
- Experience with Dassault 3DX and/or Solidworks
- Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, including parametric design, model‑based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military
Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline and typically 10+ years of relevant experience.
