Water Resources Staff Engineer – Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
Full-time position in St. Cloud‑MN, Minnetonka‑MN, or Englewood‑CO. Supports permitting, design, and construction of Solar, Wind, and Battery Storage projects across the country, ensuring protection from flooding and compliance with storm‑water regulations.
Responsibilities- Conduct stormwater modeling, floodplain analysis, and hydraulic design for renewable energy projects.
- Perform watershed permitting, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and FEMA studies.
- Coordinate with civil and water resources engineering teams to integrate design elements into solar, wind, battery storage project plans.
- Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and maintain project files.
- Assist in the use of advanced modeling tools such as FLO2D, AutoCAD, Global Mapper, HEC‑RAS, and Arc Pro.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- 0–4 years of professional experience in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling for renewable projects.
- Strong technical writing, Microsoft Office, and PDF editing skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client/public agency liaison capabilities.
- Ability to learn and apply advanced modeling software.
